Simple Spanish Rice
- 3 quart nonstick saucepan
- 1 cup white rice
- 2 TB butter
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 8 oz tomato sauce or puree
- 1.5 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- In a medium nonstick saucepan set over medium heat, melt the butter. Add rice and stir to coat with butter. Cook, stirring frequently, for about 3 minutes until rice is toasted.
- Stir in chicken broth, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, garlic salt, and oregano.
